Live Arcade hits Windows Vista this summer
Microsoft has announced that the Live service will be made available for Windows Vista this summer, including Live Arcade support. Among the games that will be available both on Xbox 360 are Uno and Geometry Wars Evolved, with more coming along most likely. This from GamesIndustry.biz, who also tells us that half of the sold Xbox 360 systems take advantage of the Live service.
Good news for us Live Arcade gamers, huh?

Sounds like they’ll get the old stuff. I wonder if this will benifit the 360 gamers though…
Will XNA Express games work for both PC and 360?

The XNA framework is made to ease development on both PC and Xbox 360 games. I’m not sure if the games developed using the Express version will work out of the box though, but it sure is possible.
I’m guessing that Live Arcade game development will increase when the games are made available to the PC crowd as well, even if it’s limited to Vista at first. There’s 10m sold Xbox 360’s or so, but I’d reckon Vista will outsell the Xbox 360 fairly early in its life cycle.
