Xbox Live Gold members who still haven’t checked out the well reviewed Braid now have more reasons to get the hit game. Beginning last February 23, Gold members will get a discount if they buy the game. This is part of the new program of providing discounts on different content every week. The discount can be applied to Arcade games, Xbox Originals and Game Add-ons.

Braid, which usually goes for 1200 points will now be made available for only 800 points for Gold members in all regions. That’s a big 33 percent savings.

Hurry up and get it before they change the discount.

Xbox 360 gamers who play online are complaining about the growing number of hackers who are spoiling the fun of online gaming. According to reports, hackers are now using data flooding tools to boout players out of the service. The reason for doing this? Retaliation if they get beaten in games like Halo 3.

Hackers are allegedly using attacks similar to denial of service attacks in order to identify the IP addresses of the users hosting the games and then booting them out of the servers. Identification of the IP addreses are done through a number of methods including packet sniffers.

Microsoft has issued a statement that it wil lbe investigating the said attacks and promising to ban users proven to be the culprits.

A few years ago — 2005 to be exact — Rockstar Games resurrected the cult film The Warriors and turned it into a game for the PS2, Xbox and the PSP. Now the movie will once again grace a console as a second game based on The Warriors will be released on the Xbox Live Arcade.

The new game will be a four – player beat em up that evokes the gameplay of such classic as Final Fight. The new Warriors game will be made available on the XBLA through game developer CTXM, the same company that was also involved in other downloadable games Heavy Weapon and Feeding Frenzy. 

Rockstar Games will not be involved in this new iteration of the franchise but from what’s been seen, the movie has been faithfully reproduced in terms of look and feel. Even the gangs from the movie make an appearance in this new game. 

Expect to see The Warriors on the XBLA around mid summer.
